Ingredients
6 Thick pork chops, trim off fat
1 Tablespoon olive oil
1/2 Pound fresh mushrooms, sliced
1 Medium onion, chopped
1 Garlic clove, minced
2 (8 oz) Cans tomato sauce
1/4 Chicken broth
Salt and Pepper to taste
1 Tablespoon dried parsley
1/2 Teaspoon dried oregano
1/2 Teaspoon dried basil
2 Sweet red peppers, sliced
Instructions
Trim excess fat from pork chops. Brown chops in hot Olive Oil and Drain. Place mushrooms, onion and garlic in bottom of crockpot. Arrange pork chops on top of vegetables. Combine tomato sauce, wine and spices. Pour over chops. Cover and cook on LOW for 7 to 9 hours. About 1 hour before serving place pepper slices on top of pork chops.
